Jumped To Soon

  Hello, my new authors and writers. How's it going today? I think I jumped o soon. In the excitement of wanting to write books, I purchased a laptop, thinking I would use it on vacation. What happened when I went on vacation? Nothing. I lost all interest in writing. Has that ever happened to you? So now I have a laptop which I will use when I want to write outside or when I go on short vacations. I love my laptop, and I have used it, but I still think I jumped the gun when it came to purchasing one so soon in my writing process.  Now I have to write the books to make back the money that I already spent on the laptop. So, if you write on a laptop, when do you use yours?

I Failed!!

 Hello, my new authors and writers. Remember when I told you I was going to write a 20k-word e-book in 30 days. Well, it's only the 10 of August, and I've already failed the challenge.  I have the story I want to write and the characters; I even have the setting, but I haven't written one word of it yet. Why? Because I'm also writing a series that I am dead set on finishing before the year runs out. Plus I have #30 & 31 of my story collection that need to be finished. Also, I have a ton of editing from stories I've already written and covers to create. So, you see I got stuff to do before the year ends.  

I figure I will tackle this challenge when my story plate is less full. So, did you start the challenge? Great- how's it going for you? I would like to know.

August Challenge

 

Hello,  new writers and authors. It's August first, and I'm thinking about doing a 30-day writing challenge. Just to see if I can do it.  It would be a 15-20k word e-book on a topic I have yet to pick. I want to challenge myself to see if I can write something in 30 days. Mind you, it probably won't be good, but at least I tried. Who's with me on this?

Day 1-2: You get the idea you want to write about

Day 3-4: You build the  characters 's profiles

Day 5- 6: You do your world-building where the story is taking place and things like that

Day 7-10: You outline your story- I'm a pantser I write all my stories by the seat of my pants

Day 11-17 Write the story

Day 18-20 Edit story  ; do this twice if you have time

Day 21-22 Format story

Day 23-24 Find a good cover  for your story

Day 25-30 Go over your story one last time and then publish it somewhere

Congrats, you've done it: a book in 30 days!! 

This is what I will do for August to push myself. On that note, have a great day and keep writing. I'll keep you posted on my progress with this challenge.  Now on to find an idea to write about.
